ZENYATTA's 2010 VANITY HP (Entire Televised Broadcast) - 17th STRAIGHT VICTORY - NEW MODERN DAY RECORD!

Witness all the action right here; all the pre-race footage of ZENYATTA calm and alert in her stall before the race in the company of her groom, being walked out to be saddled in front of a packed house, interviews with her connections, Mike Smith being given a leg up on ZENYATTA in the paddock as she procedes to, "do her thing with her dance moves", the post-parade, the entire race shown several times over with different views and re-plays, the reactions from the ecstatic crowd and her connections, more interviews, the winner's circle and so much more!
The historic value of this race is unprecedented - already considered an instant classic for generations to come.
The remarkable ZENYATTA stands alone. Thrilling another crowd with her spine-tingling late charge, the undefeated mare nabbed a determined ST TRINIANS by a half-length for her 17th consecutive victory in the June 13, 2010, Vanity Handicap (Gr. I) at Hollywood Park. This was the 6-year-old champion's unprecedented third straight win in the Vanity, and by far her most exciting. With this victory, ZENYATTA now owns the record for the longest winning streak in the modern era of Thoroughbred racing for a top-echelon horse in races not restricted to state-breds; moving her past CITATION, CIGAR and MISTER FRISKY.
The 1-2 favorite ZENYATTA, who carried 129 pounds, nine more than ST TRINIANS, went over $6 million in career earnings while completing the 1-1/8M test in 1:49.01. She had five rivals to beat in the Vanity: MISS SILVER BROOK, ZARDANA, ST TRINIANS, WILL O WAY and CHERRYBLOSSOMMISS.
Coming from last place entering the final turn, ZENYATTA hunted down ST TRINIANS over the last 200 yards and just passed her by a half-length to win the 69th Vanity Handicap. ZENYATTA had to swing wide coming off the final turn and was initially unable to make up any ground on ST TRINIANS as they headed for home. Then she found another gear and just made it in time in a heart-stopping victory.
In spite of the taxing effort, ZENYATTA still had a little left for her appreciative fans after it was over. Mike Smith, her rider, stopped ZENYATTA on the track and turned her toward the crowd, which rose to applaud her. He then took off his riding helmet and glanced toward the gray overcast sky. She then danced and posed in front of the grandstand for about five minutes on her way to the winner's circle.
ZENYATTA won for the seventh time at Hollywood Park while boosting her career earnings to $6,074,580. This landmark victory at Hollywood Park was fitting. It is her home track, the site of her first race as a 3-year-old in 2007, and the place where she was paraded last November, a presumptive farewell trot, on ZENYATTA Day.
She has 11 grade I triumphs overall, including an unprecedented victory over males in the 2009 Breeders' Cup Classic (Gr. I).
Purchased for $60,000 as a yearling at Keeneland in September 2005, ZENYATTA was bred in Kentucky by Maverick Production and is the daughter of STREET CRY - VERTIGINEUX by KRIS S.
For a horse that carries herself with inimitable style, quaffing Guinness after workouts and prancing around the paddock as if she were preparing for dressage, ZENYATTA high-stepped her way permanently into the record books with a characteristic flourish!
